St Bees bouldering

On Slanty (V3)...

Photographer John Pickles and myself have spent the last few days following the conditions and bouldering across the country from one coast to the other. Today with very little fingertip skin left after a couple of days in Northumberland we headed for the west coast and St Bees. The cliff sheltered us form the cold northerly and conditions were perfect in the sunshine. Highlight for me was the awkward Whiteface Left V3 which only succumbed after repeated efforts and a change of rock boots. More of Johns work can be seen at his website John Pickles Photography
